Tutor Referral Service

The Tutor Referral Service makes available to students listings of upper-level or graduate students who are qualified tutors in various academic areas.

All tutors listed with the Tutor Referral Service have the following minimum qualifications:

  • 56 or more hours of college credit
  • 20 or more credit hours in the area of specialization
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • No less than a B grade and completion of each course tutored

Students Seeking Tutors

Come to the Campus Information Center with the course number of the class in which you need help. The CIC staff will provide you with a list of tutors who you then may contact to arrange for tutoring services. You are responsible for paying the fees charged by tutors.

Prospective Tutors

Come to the Campus Information Center and get an application. You must meet the criteria listed above and be a registered student or staff member. You will be asked to submit a transcript or grade report documenting all relevant college level course work with your application.

The CIC also has information on departments that offer free tutoring and other assistance with study skills and coursework.
